The NederDrone: A hybrid lift, hybrid energy hydrogen UAV

A lot of UAV applications require vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) combined with very long-range or endurance. Transitioning UAVs have been proposed to combine the VTOL capabilities helicopters efficient flight properties fixed-wing aircraft. But energy is still a bottleneck for many electric long endurance applications. While solar power technology battery improved lot, in rougher conditions they respectively lack total amount required real-world situations. In this paper, we introduce NederDrone, hybrid lift, hydrogen-powered which can perform landings using 12 propellers while flying efficiently forward thanks its fixed wings. The supplied from mix hydrogen-driven fuel-cells store large amounts high hydrogen stored pressurized cylinder around optimized. This paper analyses selection concept, implemented safety elements, electronics control shows data including 3h38 at sea, starting on small moving ship.
